Rev. Dr. Linda Louderback

The Rev. Dr. Linda Louderback is a retired ordained elder following 34 years of ministry in local churches and conference level positions. Her ministry started in United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) and continued in United Methodist Women (UMW) where she was a district and conference officer as well as serving as a regional director of the UMW United Nations Law of the Sea Project.

She became a Certified Lay Speaker in the Missouri West Conference and then pursued ordination. She received her M.Div. from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas and a Doctorate of Ministry in Leadership Excellence from Wesley Seminary in Washington, D.C.

Linda served in congregations in all three of the former conferences in the Great Plains Conference as well as in Los Angeles and spent 24 years in the Kansas West/Great Plains Conference. She served the Kansas West Conference as the Director of Leadership Development and Director of Clergy & Congregational Excellence followed by 5 years as the District Superintendent in the Wichita West District.

Linda writes:

"In my years in ministry I have discovered that God has a great sense of humor when it comes to leading me to places I never planned to go. The small, medium and larger congregations I have served taught me many lessons in ministry.

Leadership and team building have always been a part of my being and passion which led me to conference level positions. I am an avid believer that laity are the key to growing disciples and transforming the world. Leading as a team coached by the clergy will create the way for many possibilities for ministry in the local church in these changing times.”
